Rocio
Rocio’s yoga journey began in 2020 during a transformative period—a time of shifting habits and discovering healthier coping skills. Having grown up playing sports and engaging in high-intensity workouts for years, she found yoga to be a soothing balm for her nervous system during challenging moments. What started as just another way to move her body soon revealed itself to be something much deeper. One class, one teacher, one breath—was all it took to change her perspective completely.
As she navigated her human experience and leaned into her authenticity, Rocio uncovered her true purpose: to be of service to others simply by being herself.
As both a practitioner and teacher, Rocio’s intention is to help others reconnect with the innate wisdom of their bodies. Her philosophy is simple but powerful: it’s not about using the body to get into the pose, but using the pose to get into the body. She believes yoga is for everyone—a path to unity, transformation, and growth, no matter where you’re starting from. Her goal is to create a welcoming space where people feel safe to show up as they are and move through their journey with grace and serenity.
In Rocio’s classes, you'll find a slow-paced, intentional practice that holds space for students at every level. She emphasizes that yoga isn’t about how flexible or strong you are—it’s about connecting to the present moment through breath, stillness, and awareness. Even in the discomfort of a pose, there’s wisdom to be found.
Rocio is also certified in all three levels of Usui Reiki, which she completed in 2023 at SoderWorld Wellness Center & Academy. She recently completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Rising Lotus in February 2025.
Outside of yoga and her corporate career, Rocio finds joy in the quiet moments. She thrives in warm weather, loves sitting outside, and cherishes time with her family, friends, and her beloved mini dachshund, Frijol. Nature walks and exploring places near water fill her with peace and inspiration.
