Melissa

Melissa's yoga journey began in 2006, motivated by weight gain during her pregnancy. Initially seeking physical benefits, she soon discovered yoga's deeper dimensions beyond mere asana practice, inspiring her to explore its philosophy and teachings. 

In both her practice and teaching, Melissa emphasizes inclusivity, firmly believing that yoga is for everyone. She strives to create an environment where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities can experience the transformative power of yoga. 

Students attending Melissa's classes can expect sessions tailored to diverse needs and experience levels, ensuring accessibility for both novices and seasoned practitioners. Her approach fosters a welcoming atmosphere that encourages growth and self-discovery.

Melissa completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training program in 2013. She currently holds the esteemed titles of E-RYT 500 and YACEP, accredited by the Yoga Alliance. Her expertise has been recognized through features in Yoga Magazine and Yoga Journal. Beyond the studio, Melissa instructs classes for the Physical Education Department at Moraine Valley College and serves as a Master Trainer with YogaFit Training Systems, conducting yoga teacher trainings nationwide.
